What is the essence of art?

The essence of art is to express oneself. My favorite quote of art by Amy Lowell explains this fact very well, "Art is the desire of a person to express oneself, to record the reactions of one's personality to the world he or she lives in." The work with true expressions of an individual is real art. Every piece of art is valuable because each of it contains an unique expression and a true heart.

What is the essence of art?

The essence of art is to record the meaningful and precious moments of life. Picasso once said, "Painting is just another way of keeping a diary." When I write a diary, I am not only joyful when I write, but I am also joyful when I read it after a period of time. Same as painting, the joy is not only found when you paint, but it will also be found when you view your art and going back to the time and space when you painted it. If writing a diary creates a room of joy for us, painting an art will create a whole world of joy for us .

What is the essence of art?

The essence of art is to explore one's inner man. "Every artist dips his brush in his own soul, and paints his own nature into his pictures" by Henry Ward Beecher. My art teacher has always told me that "always think before picking up a brush." At first, I was always confused with what to think. After years of painting and practicing, I found this sentence as a truth of painting. When I paint, it is nothing about skills, it is everything about thoughts. An artist think more than he or she paints.
